Bhutan follows a visionary tourism philosophy called "High Value, Low Volume". Instead of permitting unrestricted mass tourism, the Royal Government of Bhutan levies a daily royalty called the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF).
By contributing the SDF, every traveler directly funds:
